ELLIOT

John Elliot, b. Newburyport [MA] June 6, 1789, d. Mont Vernon, May 8,
1878, m. Feb 14, 1814 Mary Stewart of Antrim who was b. Feb. 17, 
1790, d. Feb 11, 1879 at Mont Vernon. He came here about 1813, and
settled on a farm, one mile east of Mont Vernon village. Children b.
in Mont Vernon:
1. Thomas Elliot, b. Oct. 1814, d. Newport NH March 3, 1890, left 
children.
2. John Elliot, b. July 5, 1816, d. Nov 20, 1833
3. James Elliot, b. Sept 15, 1818, d. May 27, 1901, Westfield MA,
left three children.
4. Mary Jane Elliot, b. July 27, 1820, resided on the homestead,
unmarried.
5. Benjamin Elliot, b. Oct 14, 1822, lives Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has
one dau, who is m. and has three children.
6. Abigail Elliot, b. Feb 9, 1826; m. Sept 19, 1844, *Joseph Conant,
lives in Mont Vernon
7. Andrew Elliot, b. April 14, 1830, lived Salem Mass, d. Goffstown NH
Jan. 24, 1898, had two children.
8. Samuel Elliot, b. Nov 14, 1831, lived in Stockton, California since
1853, has three children.
9. John Elliot, b. April 2, 1835, lived in Watertown, Mass., 25 years,
resided in Mont Vernon since 1875, on the homestead, unmarried.
