JOSHUA BAILEY, came to town in 1822 or 1823; m. Mary Spring, dau of Silas
Spring and resided in the east part of the town, near to the farm of his
father-in-law.  He was b. May 7, 1798 and d. Feb 18, 1873, ae 74 yrs., 9 mos.
She d. April 4, 1862, ae 62.
Children:
1. STEPHEN, b. Dec 23, 1824; m. Cordelia W. Houghton, Boston [MA] April 4, 1867.
One ch., Maud Abbot, killed by falling out of a window, June 1873, ae 3;
resided Charlestown, Mass.
2. MARY E., b. Sept 26, 1826; m. Jonathan E. Drake of Easton, Mass., May 16,
1853. Ch (1) Lewis E.; (2) Albert B.; (3) Flora P.; (4) Charlie E., resided
New Bedford, Mass.
3. HARRIET, b. June 27, 1829; unmarried.
