Ellis, 1876 page 56 THE DODGE FAMILY MOSES DODGE, son of Nathaniel and Sally Bailey Dodge, b. in New Boston [NH], March 17, 1779, where he spent his youth. He learned the carpenter's trade in Vermont. Came to Peterborough in 1814 to build the machinery of the North Cotton Factory in company with Andrew Harris. He remained here through his life. He at one time carried on the cabinet-making business. He d. 1850, ae 71 yrs. He m. Sally Richardson, of Holliston, Mass. He was Selectman 1829, 1830, 1831. He was much respected as a worthy and honest man.
