Charles Cummings (1822-1901) & Harriett Young Grant
(1838-1930) - Charles C. Grant attended school in Peterboroug
and Greenfield NH. He was a farm assistant in Andover. He
bought a dairy farm in Auburn, NH, had 25 cows, 4 horses.
He was a republican and took a leading part in local affairs.
He served ably as selectman for five years, Town Treasurer
for three years and was a delegate to the Consituttional
Convention in 1876. He was a prominent member of the Longmeadow
Church and a deacon for 37 years.
