MERRILL CEMETERY
South Willow Street, Manchester NH

Return to the "Cemetery section" of this web site

Merrill Cemetery is located just south of the Mall of NH on South Willow Street (in Manchester NH) at the intersection of Huse Road. The cemetery itself is surrounded by the Mall of New Hampshire's entrance, South Willow Street, and businesses. If you wish to visit it, there is a small circular drive that passes directly by the side of the cemetery (accessed from Huse Road, passing by the cemetery, then back out to a one-way section of South Willow Street) which is the only practical access. Surrounding businesses have "No Trespassing" signs, so please respect those properties.

The following IS NOT a complete listing of the cemetery, but rather abstracted gravestone inscriptions from photographs taken in November of 2004. Please see the original photographs to verify the dates shown below.

There were numerous stones that were illegible due to the wearing away of the engraving, being broken, or lying face down on the ground. In order to minimize further damage, I made no effort to touch any of the gravestones.

The oldest stone (that I could read the inscription) was an 1813 death, however it is possible that there are older ones in this cemetery.

NOTE: All of the photographs on this web page are the personal property of Janice Brown, the webmaster.
